I have been doing a little investigating and the answer is...I don't know, havn't been able to find it mentioned anywhere. From my experience buying a ford ranger in 97, I could not get a 4x4 with the 4cyl engine, had to upgrade to the larger engine, so I'm not sure if it will be something like that but I have a suspision that you will not be able to get the V6 4x4. I'll keep my ear to the ground to see if i hear anything and my fingers crossed that you can get what you want. I can't live w/o the 4x4 either so I got a 5.4 and just have to live with the slushbox auto, I'm hoping the auxx transmission cooler that came with the tow package will keep that thing a little healthier, but its still a 4speed auto

I dont know why, but that almost made me pee my pants.

OK. I have heard through thre grape vine, that CHEVY's Z71 is gonna have a V6. It's 4X4, but I havent heard anything about manuel/auto. BUT...then again, why wouldnt they?

NOW with that being said. If Chevy, GMC, or whatever, if they can do it....why not Ford?

Wow, thats not even my "A" material. I would make sense to offer a V6 4x4 but then again I don't see why they don't put a manual behind the 4.6, should be able to handle it and there is demand from what we see posted around here.

I was looking over the 05 F-150 specs posted on another truck site and there were no specs posted for a 4.2L V6 4x4 buththere were specs for the 4.2L V6 4x2 so tht leads me to conclude there will be no V6 4x4 in 05.
