Question Spare w/ 33" Tires...

Would a 33" spare tire (let's say w/ a 12.50 tread width) fit where the factory spare is?

And can an '04 F-150 4x4 (FX4) be run with 33"/12.50 tread width tires with no lift (and no rubbing occurring)?

Only one way to know - crawl under there and mesure it! I'd image its a really tight fit.. and may need some fabricating to make it happen (if at all). Just leave the factory there.. .its no diff that using a 'donut' spare. Just enough to get you to the shop...

Welcome to the board!

Just if you do get a flat and have the spare stocker, make sure you have two of the same tires on a LS rearend. Else you will burn up the clutches very fast.

In other words, you blew the RR (right-rear), take off the FR (front-right) replace that tire with the spare stock tire. Then put the FR onto the RR, and then you wont have burned up clutches!
