If you know you can go over 99 mph do not get a reflash. I had my truck over 110 on a trip to Oregon and did not even think anything of it until I was getting told by people on this board that I was a liar because the speed limiter was 99 mph. How can that be???? I WAS going over 110! Well low and behold when I took my truck in for service and they reflashed it and guess what. No power at 99 mph on the dot. Crapola.

TUFF FORD,
I am with you on that, my truck was built March 16, 2004 and it seen 110+ twice......
Funny thing is I had it reflashed at 2,000 miles and the governer still never shuts it down... now at 5,000. Just this past weekend I wanted to find out were the shutdown point was... but after having the needle pegged out it never shutdown....?
Next time I'll take a pic of the speed meter to show the non-believers...
