Autospring 1.5 on! What tires?

I just got my autospring 1.5" kit installed, and love the new look of the truck. I want to replace my stock tires and rims with something a little bigger to help fill up the wheel well. The truck is a 2004 fx4 scab with 18 inch rims, 275 tires, Looking for advice and pics of similar trucks with bigger than stock tires. I take my truck off-road for hunting and fishing so i dont want to go with a larger rim just larger tires. Thanks in advance.

Looking at doing the same thing here, alittle more tire to fill up the wheel wells some. Here is a link to Brandon E's gallery. He has the Nitto 325/60r/18 Terra Grapplers on his FX4 Screw with the stock rims. I think it looks good and just might go with those tires but I just can't seem to make up my mind.

With the 1.5" kit installed what do your front and rear measure out to in height. How much lower is the front than the rear?

Ironman the 1.5 autospring raised my front a little over 2 inches
I measure out at 40.5 at rear and 40.25 at front. the 1.5 autospring gave the truck a more aggresive look. I love it, now just need the tires.

brandon e's truck has the 1.5" autospring lift specifically or is he using a different leveling kit? if he is using the autospring than i might have to just copy those tires in that size! mine look tiny since the new autospring kit!

ak_1fitty I think it has the daystar front lift on it but not positive though. That is what I have on mine and I'm waiting for my last two 325/60r/18 Terra Grapplers to get here sometime next week. They will be put on the stock rims.

I'm glad I'm not going in this alone! I've got to make that first step and get the autospring 1.5" purchased and installed, then opt for bigger tires atleast!

Not wanting to cause a stink like we had a few months ago, but are there any safety issue mounting that big 325/60r18 on the stock wheels? I'm almost to the point that I don't care really as long as it will improve the looks of the truck, especially the profile. Ford should be beat in the middle of the street for making the FX4 look like a 2wd.

i don't think the 325/60/18 terra grapplers will fit on the 1.5 kit! i e-mailed autospring and they said that 33s would be the max unless you want to rub ALL DAY LONG! the daystar is bigger than the autospring and the angle causes the cv joints to rub... like the 2" autospring.....

Man this sucks, I was ready to order the 1.5" kit and the 325's next week. I'm affraid if we just go with the 1.5" kit and the 285's it won't be that much of a difference than the stock 275's. I want something that will fill some of the fender well when I get the front end leveled out.

I've seen several guys on here say they are getting no rubbing with 315/70/17's with 2 to 2.5 inches of lift on the 4x4's. The key is using the stock rims due to the backspacing. The tire manufacturer of course doesn't recommend the 7.5" wide rim for the 315.

I know the 17" rims are 7.5", but I thought the 18" rims were 8 " anyone know for sure. Would this cause a problem with rubbing on 315's.
