04 Chrome Door Handles

Anyone bought chrome door handles for their 04? Pics? Where? How Much? I want them for the two front doors inside and out and the tailgate handle. Can you chrome the exsisting ones at a chrome shop or do they have to be metal to chrome?

I have seen them on ebay for around 40 dollars for 2 doors and 60 dollars for supercrews.

I found a set I like better than the chrome ones. The ones I saw had a color match backing with a chrome billitt handle....I formated my pc and lost the link though

Are they stick on covers or the chrome plated stock ones? Do the stick up ones with tape hold up?

So no one knows if you can take the exsisting ones to a chrome shop or if you can't chrome plastic?

Chroming Plastic = NO!

The "REAL" chroming process involves plating "electrically conducive" materials (metal) in several stages - the first being copper plating and after a few acid baths, using electricity to complete the chroming process.

So a long exlplaination short - no, you cannot chrome plastic. The pieces you get for the truck handles use tape to hold the chromed piece on.

put that in your pipe and it!

Taped on/over door handles, that doesn't sound like it would hold up very good. I'll keep mine just as they are, however my truck is black and they look real good.

no - I haven't seen any handle replacements yet... might try e-bay...

I like the black ones on my white SCREW.. Now that my windows are limoed - it ties together the bed rails, handles, and bug shield (all being black)
