Gas Mileage Update

I filled up my '04 FX4 Screw yesterday and averaged 15.1 mpg. That may not sound great, but about 100 miles of that tank was pulling my 19 foot bay boat. I think this new 3v motor really gets better mileage. Happy towing!!

Yes, it does. I'm regularly getting upper 16.x/lower 17.x MPG with my '04. The real test is when I drive up north to my parents' house which is about 350 miles away from mine. With my 2001 F-150 SCrew XLT 5.4L, I got up there on one tank of gas, but I would be running on fumes by the time I got there. With my '04 (see my signature), I have just over 1/4 tank left according to the gauge when I get there and pull into their driveway.

I'll try and post a graph of my gas mileage next week when I get a chance to scan it in. I'm getting 14-15 most of the time.

Must be nice to drive where it's flat! I've been averaging 12.5 to 13 mpg with my FX4 Screw, all city driving in the hills of Western PA.

Just yesterday, I installed a K&N Filter and Magnaflow 15827 SI/DO side exhaust, reset my computer and filled up my gas tank. We'll see what happens.
