biggest rubber on 1.5" autospring

Saw your post with no replies and wondering if you ever found out what will fit. I have a 2004 fx4 scab with 1.5" autospring installed, stock wheels and tires. From my reading I think 35's will fit with this leveling kit, but sounds like 33's might be a better option for gas mileage & braking. I'm thinking of Terra Grapplers 325-60-18, would like to talk to someone with this setup. Good luck on you truck and let us know what you decide upon.

I would also like to run 33's on my truck, but would want a raised white letter tire, and the only one I know of is BFG, are there any others out there?

I'd suggest the ProComp ATs as well. Their 33x12.5x17 tiresize would work nicely and they have raised white lettering, albeit not as raised or large as the BFGs.

Unfortunately, it looks like no love for 18" wheels. Their website - www.explorerprocomp.com - is being re-done so it wasn't much help. 4wheelpart's size availability is pretty comprehensive and they only go to 17".

I'd call 4wheelparts.com - they are always willing to help.

What about on a 2WD? Are 33's pushing it? Also of any interest to anyone...I was poking around Nitto's site the other day and they now have a 33" metric equivalent in a 17" wheel diameter. So if you're looking for a cool 33 and don't want to spend $$$ on 18" wheels, these 295/70 17's might be the ticket.

well i wrote autospring an e-mail when i didn't get any hits on this forum and he said that 33s would fit great but the 35s would rub all day long. he said you might be able to squeeze 35s under the 2" kit but he wouldn't reccomend doing so. i was planning on doing some bigger rubber but i am now considering the 4" rancho lift with 35s or going for a 6" and a body lift for 38s (that blue one is SICK)..... that new silver stepside with the rancho has really made me want one!

I just re-checked BF Goodrich's website this morning and they have a new size for their All-Terrain T/A KO's - 285/65R/18. Its outer diameter is 32.8" so it's essentially a 33" tire that wants an 8-10" rim. Looks like that'd work for you also.

The Terra Grapplers in 325/60r/18 should work as they are a 33" tire (the 325/65r/18's are a 35" tire).

325 X .60 = 195mm

195/25.4 = 7.67 inches X 2 = 15.35 inches

18" + 15.35" = 33.35"

Would these work with the 1.5" autospring kit?? I hope so

or...

285 X .65 = 185.25mm

185.25/25.4 = 7.29" x 2 = 14.59"

18" + 14.59" = 32.59"

There are guys running 315/70/17 BFG's, basically a 34.5 " tire, on the stock rims with 2 to 2.5 inches of lift.

i think that the first combo would work but after talking to the guys at autospring themselves and they told me anything bigger than a (1.5 inch kit) 33s would be pushing it and asking for rubbing.

You get a solid 2 ¼” lift from the 1½” Auto Spring kit.
