Can anyone tell me how to determine when my truck was built? I've done some research about the VIN number and would like to know what DAY and MONTH it was built. Any hints or suggestions will be depreciated, I mean, appreciated.....

 

You can get the Month and Year of the build date off of the sticker/label on the door post in your truck. It is where I got mine.

 

I just checked on the door jamb and the date was 06/04. So, I guess its safe to say that my truck was built in June. Being a later build date, I wonder if Ford has made adjustments since the 2004 production model began? The reason being, some have had vibration issues and little problems here and there, but so far mine seems to be a very solid truck.

 

Look at your window sticker. The date there will at least be close to the full date of manufacture. Mine was built 08/03, one of the early ones. No vibration on mine either.

 

The sticker on your engine has year, month and day.
The engines don't sit around for more than 48 hours.
At the very least you can eliminate those days in June before the engine build.

Hope it doesn't say the 1st......

 

Kingfish51, mine is 08/03 too, no problems except for the fuel door episode.

 

Go to your Dealer and ask them for an Oasis Report , they will print you a copy if you like. This report will tell you the actual build Day , when the Truck was put into service and a record of all warranty work performed on the truck.
