Angry My Window fell off $%#^$#

Well 2,450 miles on my brand new truck and today my drivers side window falls off.

I was getting ready to wash my car like I do every monday, so first i get ready to roll bolth back windows up and then the front, but while im rolling the front driver side I hear a loud "thump" noice and down my window goes. Tried to see if it would come back up and nothing, I dont think its the motor because i can still hear it trying to make the window go up but it won't do *****. damn this sucks now i have to sleep in my truck to protect my valuables in there.

Same happened on my 2002 f-150 three months after I bought it new.
Repair was coverd under warenty, some one did not proerly secure the window track in side the door.
The drivers door window has never fitted right to this day. I feel your pain.

i heard about this in pre-production and I mentioned it on this board. they had some problems with the window track as mentioned above. they put a rubber grommet to secure the glass in the track, and that solved most of the problems, but not all. in some cases the damn grommet was falling off and rattling around in the door, which is annoying enough, but then the window would come off the track too, which is even more annoying. good luck man. let us know how it works out.

Well took it to the dealer to get my window fixed but the guy at the service desk said to leave it there but it could not be looked at till thursday, so i said ok can you give me a rental or a loaner i need to get to work in something, his answer was "NO" you bought your truck out of state and we no longer provide rentals for non customers of ours..... so i was like WTF

He said they would honor my warranty but not give me a rental, so IM screwd because i bought a truck out of state to save me some money.

So now i have missed a day of work, have no truck and need to rent a car for 3 days, wow what great service ford gives.

Man this ***** is frustrating, this is the reason why i bought a new truck to avoid this problems and it happens.....

Yea, this is why I always buy local. You may save a little money up front but it always seems to come back at you when you're trying to deal with someone you didn't Actually give money to..

Hope you get everything straigtened out.

- we just purchased an '04 Mustang and F-150 here in Virginia, but are moving to Florida in the next two months (dumb, as we should have bought earlier, and will now owe FL state tax on the vehicles - but we didn't know we'd be moving)...

- however, if i have to take either vehicle to a Ford dealer after we move, and that dealer won't do a loaner for an extended repair, i'll walk out - and that dealer will *NEVER* get my business (we buy new cars every couple years) service or otherwise...

- vote with your feet and your dollars...
