Hi there. Another lurker here.

Does anyone know how long the 2004 F-150s are going to be produced? I thought that the model year changeover was this week but my dealer tells me it has been extended and my truck (red FX4 SC) won't be ready till mid- August. I'm tearing my hair out here. First I hear that I can't order yellow anymore because production of that has stopped and now the date's been pushed back over a month, apparently because it's a flareside and they're building them last.

Anybody know the true story?

I was told the same thing earlier this year when i was thinking of ordering a particular truck, that production would run through August. I lucked out and found one by just being in the right place at the right time, but August was the deadline and if i had ordered the wait was 6 to 8 weeks.

I ordered my truck on May 17th, and next Monday will make 8 weeks to the day, so I hope my truck is in before then, cause my dealer told me that there were no holdups. So I hope that it comes this week, and I hope there is no holdups or extensions on my truck! I'm with AKM and I am pulling my hair out!
