Rough rotors?

After about two weeks of this progressively horrible vibration when I was brakeing..I took her into the dealership for what I thought was warped rotors...after 4 hours they told me that the rotors were rough and should have been scraped at the factory, however they turned them and how it rides perfect. Anyone else had this problem...or is it unique.

This is the first I heard of anyone needing their rotors scraped. Glad to hear that the dealer fix you up OK,

10500 miles and have had my rotors turned 2 times by the dealer because they warp.
Don't know why that happens every 5000 miles I just can't get them to replace them yet,

Maybe when I go back in 5000 miles there won't be anything to turn so I will finally get new ones.

My 99 f-150 had 58000 miles and only had to replace the pads so it is not that I am a heavy on the brakes.

Margenc - most rotors today can only take one turning. They are not made as thick as they used to be. They will warp quicker now after the second turning. If they say they are going to turn them again ask them to show you the thickness measurement first. There are specs that rotors have to fall within. If you know somebody that works in an independent brake shop, talk to them about turning rotors more than once. There just isn't enough material there.

I had my truned at 5000-6000 miles because of the vibration while breaking.

Yes, I'm very easy on the brakes and don't do any towing, yet mine need to be turned at 6,800 miles.

Had mine turned at 4000 miles and now at 9800 miles I am waiting for the new rotors to come in that were ordered last week. They gave me no problems about wanting to turn them again as I told them that I heard they shouldn't be more than once. Just wish they would hurry up and get here as this almost makes driving the truck not so much fun anymore.

Unhappy Yep me too

Yes I am having the same issue. At 700 miles I notice the rotors in the front looked a little too worn. Took the truck to the dealer and he called Ford to see what was going on. Ford told him they are aware of this and are seeing what can be done.
No fix at this time.

When it goes in for the 5k check, hope they don't need to turn them, I would guess they would just go rough again.
