I have been using Redline and royal purple in my cars for a long time so my truck is getting a shoot of royal purple 5W20 next week. I'm expecting about 1-2mpg better gasmileage after that change

the right oil for your ford motor
No question what's right to use for me... 5wx20 by Ford...and change the filter every time as well...every 5000k or less...I let the ford dealer keep the records and the 25+ point check over catches any problems before they get to be big problems...
I have a 1980 f150 short box 300 six 4-speed, purchaced this vehical 14 years ago from and estate sale, had around 80000 miles on it, the old gent whom owned ran amsoil since new, in everything, t-case, axles, trans ext. over the last 14 yrs I have replaced the clutch, water pump,t-stat one u-joint and still run amsoil change oil every 12000 mile or so. and replaced all the other fluids when i replaced the clutch about 5 yrs ago, this vehical is used for work and plowing I plow about 3-5 hundred miles a season with it, the od now reads 260plus thousand miles on it, the engine runs good steering and drive train are tight,I will use this truck for another 2-3 yrs before I put a plow on the 04 I will be switching the 04 to amsoil at the next oil change and install the remote 2-stage filter, along with the trans and diffs
