Yeah, they ran a game on you....
They called Ford alright, the courtesy desk of teh Ford dealership, and had themselves passed around a few times to give the "appearance" of trying to reach some one, then- they gave it to you good...

Writign is the best action. I'd write Ford complaining about that dealer, then I would copy them on teh note- and you'll be amazed how fast your light gets swapped out- even if they have to come to your house to do it.

I had bad SM experiences at Chevy so I speak from experience.

I even sent copies of the note to: Motor Trend, Car & Driver and Road & Track. I got my problem taken care of, got a loaner car (Bak when that was unhead of) and they gave me $100 for the inconvenience.

So how do you explain the similarities between my situation and his?

Trust me, I'm a bit more 'established' here at f150online.com versus newer members (like him). Trust me...

You? RP? Established, you must have found some way to rig it to say 9000+ posts!! lol
Just kidding.
Surely every dealer does things his own way . But it is possible Ford starts doing this nationwide on issues that could potentially not be a good claim, just to be a pain in the a$$.

I have a hard time believing they wammied the claim AFTER they turned them TWICE. Either the dealer is an idiot or this isn't the whole story.

After reading RP post about the dealer taking pictures to verify the truthfulness of the warranty claim, I think it’s a good thing. It only takes a few minutes to take a picture and send it to Ford via the internet. Body shops do all the time to get claims approved.

Bumblebee needs to find himself another dealership to do business with because I’ve never heard of such cr*p. My dealership can’t wait to satisfy a warranty claim, it easy money for them.

I felt obligated to include it. I rarely deny stuff anyway. I always look for ways to pay for stuff. As long as I can back it up with some BS reason when management calls me out on something, I am GOLDEN!

Tech calling Ford

I took my truck in for a noise coming from the tranny. The dealer called Ford and Ford told them to swap it out and overnighted a new tranny.

Clearly dealers are instructed to call Ford before they perform repairs. I think the BS here is that Ford said not to replace the light. I would call the regional service manager and see what he says.
