Did the step bars on your truck come on your truck from the factory or did you put those on? Which ones are they, the 4" or 5". If you put them on, how hard to do and did all hardware come with? Last question, how strong are they? Is there any give to them? Thanks

I had the dealership install the bars when the truck came in, they are a stock ford bar. They are plenty strong enough for standing on and they have no give but I would not want to use them for actual off roading to deflect boulders.
Overall I love them, 6,800 Km's and not one rock chip on them, I think they are a 5" bar size.

I found the 5" bars on www.fordaccessoriesstore.com and it said the MSRP for them was $337 in black. I wrote down the part number and went down to my local Ford dealer to see about buying them. He looked them up on HIS computer and they were listed per side. Over $400 PER SIDE. Give me a f&#$ing break. What kind of bad joke is that? This kind of thing really ticks me off. There is no way anyone would pay over $800 for some step bars. I really like the looks of those so this really bothers me.

I lucked out with the cost as Ford had a deal on where they put $1000 worth of accessories on your truck for free when you purchased one. So I got the nerf bars, mud flaps, hood deflector and side window deflectors for that. I think they dinged me a $100 for some fee, just shows that nothing is free. I hope you find the bars cheaper somewhere, if I see any deals I will post it!

Thanks. I ended up buying some Westins from JC Whitney. $229 minus 20% coupon I had. $184 plus shipping. $210 total. Arrived in two days to my door. An hour later they were on.
