New mod...painted wheel accents

I done this on my 02 lariats fx4 wheels and thought I would try it on the 04.

I painted the inner parts of the wheel and the circle around the ford emblem in the center cap to accent the lower two tone on my truck.

Any comments welcome good or bad.

They look like King Ranch wheels now... Not sure I like the center cap painted. Other than that, they look pretty good.

Take the wheels and tires off the truck and mask off every thing on the wheel and tire you dont want to get the paint on. Clean the area to be painted with a good solvent to remove grease, apply several thin coats of the color paint you choose, let dry and remove the masking tape.

Be sure to get far away from your truck when you paint to keep the overspray from getting on your truck.

And unless the little lady is handy with masking tape, get ready for an all day masking event.

It has done great on the 2002 lariat fx4 wheels, its been on them for about 3 years and has not faded or chiped.

As far as the 04 wheels I hope it holds up as well on it, I just painted them yesterday so I guess time will tell.
