Auto Spring 1 ½” lift kit installed

Installation is complete and the front end was laser aligned. The 1½” lift kit, which actually measures 1 5/8”, raised the front end exactly 2¼”. Both the left and right tires were toed-in .06, everything else fell within the factory specs.

Before the kit, the front measured 34 ½” from the ground to the bottom of the wheel well and the rear was 37 ½”. Now with the kit installed the front measures 36 ¾” and the rear measures 37 ½”. The 1½” kit gave me 2 ¼” lift, perfect! It definitely looks noticeably better than before. As far as I can tell, the soft ride hasn’t changed either. The 2¼” difference in height seems to give you a different perception driving the truck. I like it.

Glad to hear that you are satisfied with it, I am going to do it this weekend.... would you happen to know the correct torque adjustments for putting it back on?

I have another thread posted about this, but to no avail, so posting here, along with Motoguy79 I am in need of the torque specs after the install of the leveling kit, help would be appreciated.

does this lift cause any issues with the cv joints. It looks like the better of the different kits. I like the look but i am a little concernrd about any long term affects.

Yes, torque specs would be greatly helpful, even if you could point me in a good direction on where to get a manual for the truck.

Torque Spec/tighttight

I didn’t use Torque Specs, I just used tight. Torque Specs are a nice thought but I didn’t do it. I have never seen independent auto shops break out the torque specs for things like this. (Re-building an engine and putting it back together, yes indeed) I will post if a problem crops up from not using the proper Torque Specs and will let you know, but I’m pretty confident there will be no problem.

I got them from Auto Spring Corp. (1-800-345-0431) I called and ordered direct. I paid $125.00, this included S/H. You can also get them from Ebay.

How difficult was the install. did you have to remove anything besides raising the rruck and the 3 bolts on the top of the coilover?

Looks real good kanter.

Remarkable how such a small lift can make such a big difference in the overall look of the truck.
