I want to put a set of Goodyear MTR 305/70/17s on after I get back from my vacation. I thought I would wait to put them on till I get back from a 2000 mile round trip. Id rather put the miles on the stock tires plus get a little better gas mileage.

Yep, once you put big tires on, bye-bye gas mileage!

Yep, sticking with the stock tires until they wear out. I just do highway driving, (never take it off road) and I like them. They’re smooth and very quiet and I like how they look.
Thanks for the compliment too.

I was going to because it really isn’t that hard of a project; you just need some basic tools, wrenches, sockets, jack, jack stands and maybe a ball joint splitter. When I was at the auto repair shop inquiring about the alignment, I showed Jerry (shop owner) the Auto Spring spacers I was going to use. He convinced me to let his mechanic put them in for a minimal charge, ($60.) so I went for it. It was a piece of cake putting them in on the alignment rack, took him about an hour. (with me looking over his shoulder)

I'm deciding between the 1.5" and the 2". I want it to be level or maybe just a little lower in the front, but NOT higher in the front. Your truck looks pretty well level so I wanted to see what you used? AS HBS? 1.5", 2"?

woodman,
Did you ever level your truck? You were asking about 1.5 or 2 inch leveling kits. Here ate a couple of images of my rig with 2" AS. I have had them on for a while and no problems. The 2" kit will level your truck to about 3/4" front to rear. Check it out...

Jdruzik, actually the kit is sitting in the cab of my truck ready to go. I can't decide if I'm going to try to put it on myself or not. I'll post pics when I get it on. Btw I went with the 2" autospring.

woodman,
I had a local shop install them, Les Schwab. Since I needed to have my truck aligned afterwards I chose them. The whole deal came to $60.
