Ford Molded Splash Guards

I know a few people have reported problems installing Ford mud guards on the Lariats with step bars. I just put a set on and had no clearance issues what so ever with my Westin platinums. Only problem was the already mentioned mis-drilled holes on the rear guards but that was no big deal. Will post pics when I get settled in AZ.

The problem is only with the factory black running boards.

I have the black platform running boards and the official Ford splash guards from the dealer. The dealer installed mine. Only thing I noticed was the bottom screws were not installed because the running board sort of butts up against the splash guard. It doesn't seem to be a problem because they fit in there so snug. They look and fit fine on mine.

This picture is a little dark, but this is how they look on mine:

The holes are mis-drilled? In what way? I want to tell my dealer because I'm thinking of getting them and having them install them.

One of the holes on the rear flaps does not match up with the hole in the truck. I found it easier to re-drill the flap instead of the truck.

The front molded flaps will not fit at all if you don't have the wheel lip moldings. I have heard of people with the platform running boards cutting them, not sure I want to do that though.

If you DON'T have them, right? I have an FX4 with the lip molding, so I should be fine?

Yes, you should have the same situation as LariatF150

They make flaps for trucks both with and without wheel lip molding. The only clearance issues I've heard of is with running boards. I have no problems with Westin bars.

I have Westin nerf bars on my 04 Reg cab and the Ford molded splash guards wouldn't fit on the front.
