I have an 04 F150 with the most basic stereo (single CD, no tape player). I realize I probably can't upgrade to the audiophile system, but can I upgrade to the in-dash 6-disc factory stereo (non-audiophile)?

If, so does anyone have a 6-disc factory stereo laying around after upgrading to an aftermarket stereo? I would love to get a hold of one.

 

I don't know if you can or not, but if so, I have a 6-disc stock I'd be willing to part with for the right price. That way I could upgrade my head unit and not take as big of a hit.

You can swap out the factory single cd with the six disc with no problem. I have done it myself.

You can swap out with any other New style 04 F-150 or 03 up Expy. Anything other than that mounts different and has a different style plug/language.
