Hypertech programmers
I don't know about hypertech, but the handheld superchip version is supposed to be released in July. Then again it was supposed to be ready a month or two ago. I think the new computer on the 3V is causing the aftermarket people to work overtime.

You seem to have a problem with Hypertech programmers, Have you had one before? I have had 2 of them, both worked fine. One was for a F150, One was for a F350 V-10 Superduty. I have contacted Hypertech to check on the release date of the current 5.4 liter 3 valve motor handheld Hypertech programmer. They indicated 3 months at least, make's me wonder if Superchips may be jumping the gun a little with their release of a handheld next month. We saw on some of the airfilter companies do the same thing earlier this spring and had some motors damaged. When I called Hypertech they told me if I sent my current V-10 programmer to them they would change it over to the new 5.4 /3 valve motor after it is released for a single charge of 200.00, half the price of a new one from Hypertech or Superchips. I thought that was very customer focused for them to offer that service. They said the tuning of these motors is critical and must be accurate or damage may result. I don't want to take a chance on my truck, Comments....

I went to 4 wheel parts truck fest a week ago and spoke to reps from both hypertech and superchips. The rep at superchips said they already have a part number and it will be shipping in a month. Hypertech didn't have a date. I have never used a programmer so I am interested to hear more opinions on this.
