Tow Hitch

Guys and Gals I need some help. I have a 04 xlt Scab and I want to add a tow hitch on the truck. Sounds like I should have had that option put on when I bought the truck. Does anyone have a recommendation of a 3rd party hitch. I don't want a ugly one that shows across the bottom of the bumper. I appreciate anyones feedback.

Get a factory one from Ford. It is the best one for the truck as it is the same one that the trucks capable of 9900 lb loads use.
Your parts guy may even be able to look up specs. for the tow package and you may be able to add it on. I am not sure if it is just a harness in the back and some relays in the engine bay power control box. The back harness would get you the 4 and 7 pin trailer connections and they mount on the hitch that ford has so it would look factory.

Check out this page. Search trailer hitch and you will see the Ford factory model you need.

I installed a Hidden Hitch brand on my truck and I am very pleased with it. It is the class III/IV round tube design and does not show to much under the bumper. I ordered from this site www.hitchmart.com. They offer free shipping on orders over $100. Placed order on Saturday and installed on Wednesday. Took about 1 hour to install. Wish I had ordered towing package when ordering my truck.

Ditto with the Hidden Hitch. I had mine installed by a local truck specialty shop ($160.00). It is rated at 6000lbs. See my gallery for pics.
