Thumbs down Front Brake Dust

The front brake dust gets real thick in about a week. I have noticed there is very little builup on the rear wheels. There has got to be problem with the pads or the material used. I had a 98 F150 and did not have this problem. Anyone found a solution or does Ford have a recall?

It is very strange that you get this nasty dust on a beatiful truck after a few days of driving!!!

Blackscrew posted a thread here earlier today about installing some Kleen Wheels to prevent the brake dust problem.

Or you can buy some new brake pads that aren't as quiet but don't give as much dust.

mbishop-I'm not sure how many miles you have on your truck, but take it from me (and others that have discussed this at length), the brake dust will be greatly minimized after you have several thousand miles on it. Mine now has about 15K and it's no worse (or better) than any of my previous F-150's. Patience and a weekly wheel wash is the key.
