Gas Milage

I am getting ready to pull the trigger and get a 04 F-150 SuperCrew 4x4 in oxford white with beige trim. My last F-150 was a 97 4x4 extended cab.

What kind of gas milage are you guys getting with the new 5.4L?

Thanks

1200 miles - lowest is 14.6, highest 15, and the engine isn't even broken in. Looking forward to a 15.5-16mpg range.

My week consists of 75% highway, 25% city.

Gas Mileage

I have a Lariat Supercrew 4x4 with only 600 miles on it. I'm averaging 16.4, but I have been taking it easy during the break in period.

sliderhss,I got 400 miles out of my last tank and the fuel light wasn't even on,but when I was going to top the tank after it first clicked off the damn nozzle didn't cut off and I ran the tank over ,which messed up my chance to check my milage, but even with that it got 16.3 mpg.

I have a 5.4 w/ 3.73 and it seems to bottom out at 14.2 city and top out at 16.8 highway. Only about 800 miles.

I swear I don't know how I got 800 miles on there so fast. Anyone think their odometer is wacky? I hate digital.

Damn you guys get some real crappy gas mileage, I get about 15mpg, stock 3.73 rear-end, 5.4 S/C 380hp/450ftlbs of torque, 0-60 5.7, 1/4 mile = 13.6...

Worst was about 12 mpg, but that was a 220 mile trip pulling a 5000 lbs trailer. On the way back with an unloaded trailer, it averaged 15-16 mpg, which is about what I usually get. The vast majority of my driving is highway, I live 15-20 miles out in the boondocks.

Worst I've gotten was 8 mpg pulling my 5500 lb Travel Trailer 75 mph.

Average about 16 mpg commuting.

I have 10000 on mine.

Thumbs up

Drove to Virginia Beach, VA on Memorial Day Weekend. On the way down, 306 Miles, got 16.85 MPG. On the way back up 367.3, included a 2 hour ferry ride and atleast 3 hours sitting in traffic, 16.3.

This is about the same as my 2002 F150 Supercrew. The new one had only 3000 miles on it before the trip.
