If you notice, the "reserve price" has not been met. It could be thousands more that they may want for it before it's sold. No bargain yet.

That does not look like that bad of a wreck for the air bag to go off? But hey what do I know...

I'd be scared to buy that thing man. Looks like most of the impact went right into where the tow-hook is/should be, which is right where the frame rails run. A bent frame right there and the whole engine and cab will have to come off.... $$$.

To some poor sucker.

It doesn’t look like it’s that bad of a wreck. I doubt that the frame is bent; it’s still drivable right now. The question is, what is the reserve? I suspect it’s a lot higher than the current bid reflects.

$7700 in damage? Wow! Remember the good old days (as early as the late 80's) when that much damage would have only been a couple thousand?

i suspect the reserve is about $15K. They list invoice, MSRP, and the estimated damage. no way I would go near this "deal."

Jason Jones, who knows what they hit with that truck. i agree with you that the truck doesn't look too bad, but from the few accidents that have been reported with 04 F-150s, it seems that most damage is usually done to the other guy. good to know that the high front crash rating of the 04 is no fluke!

Actualy I do but cigs were $1 a pack, gas was around $1 and houses could be had around here in the $100,000 range. Now cigs are $4 a pack, gas is nearing $2.50 and houses are $600,000 median price. Everything goes up.

I can guarantee you the frame is bent. There is no way an impact that hard in that spot with air bags deployed did not bend it. Problem is some used car dealership will buy it, stuff the steering wheel with rags and leave the frame as is and will get around blue book for it.
