Volant Air Intake

Does anyone have information about the Volant Intake Kit ? If so, can you please give me some input about it? Is it worth getting the kit, or should I wait for K&N to come out with something? Thanks.

I've got the Volant intake on my truck and I love it. Had a K&N on my old truck and pulled it off once and found dirt behind it. Cleaned it up and found more dirt a few thousand miles later. I just got the additional breather tube that goes from the box to the front valance of under the bumper. I also have one on my '03 expedition. I like the extra throaty sound of it too.

I've been wondering about the Volant kit, too. Do you notice any slight gains in response / performance? Was there a difference before you added the snorkel verses after adding it?

I have the Volant kit, and I love it. I like the deisgn of the enclosed box for the air filter. I think it protects better against the heat and dirt.

She sure does purr pretty too.....

I can definately tell a difference in gas mpg and HP

Cheapest price I could find, I bought a Volant Air Kit VOL-19754 for $236.80 includes shipping at

http://www.hyperformanceauto.com/sea...earch&iLevel=1

Did any of you guys get the Ram Air kit 39854? I've heard the Lightning guys have ram air kits and like them.

i'm still not sure about it. maybe I just expect more when I hear that roar. didnt mean to rhyme. anyhoo, seems to have more pull but it could just be the noise. or the margaritas . as far as mpg, I just filled up so give me a few days and I'll figure it out. will poist some pics also cause if nothing else it looks pretty sweet.

Hey have any of you guys with the Volant on the your 04's have any problems with it?

I am interested in it, but I am worried about installing it and then having computer problems like after I installed the exhaust. With the exhaust I just had to diconnect the battery for a little while and reset the computer, but the intake seems like it is a little bit more complicated.

Hopefully someone can enlighten me as I don't want an AirRaid and am kind of tired of waiting for the Air Force 1. The Air Force 1 looks a whole lot nicer, but the Volant seems like it will be easier to take care of which is good for me as I don't get a chance to clean the engine very often...

I just don't want to run into any problems.

I want this kit But I do not want problems. I heard something about lean codes due to the increase in size of the intake tube(mass air flow area) . Does anyone know if this is fixed or corrected?? Do the people who have this how long have you had it and how many miles.....

Do you have any lean codes? Do you have a 5.4L motor?

I was told by the people I ordered my Volant Cold air intake from that it is on backorder, they pulled all the kits from the shelves.

Should be available in the next 3-4 weeks.
