I just ordered mine on Tuesday from L'il Devil Motorsports. After some miscommunication, they matched hyperformance.com's price on the intake for $231 and beat their price on the ram air scoop for $95 all with FedEx 2nd Day shipping. Unfortunately we missed each other on a couple of emails and it won't get here 'til monday.

Here's the link
http://www.lildevilmotorsports.com/c...oducts_id=2657

It says ships in one to two weeks but he said he had few in stock so you might want to email them.

Hey, what's the deal, nobody had them for the 4.6??? Geesh, no breaks for the little guys. Guess it doesn't matter, probably won't do anything until after all the kinks are worked out.

I ordered mine the other day from hyperperformance and they have not said anything about out of stock. As far as I am concerned it has already shipped...

I dyno'ed my truck stock - so after putting the intake in I will dyno it again and let you guys know the results. I also installed a magnaflow cat-back - that will obviously impact the numbers, but from what I have gathered on this board, performance mods for most people are limited to the same thing I have done (exhaust and intake).

I placed my order online with hyperformance Monday early afternoon. They emailed me Tuesday saying they were out of stock and it would be a 2-3 week wait. They never charged my card so I canceled my order.

Ya i kno, i have been wanting my dad to do intake, exhaust and reflash on his truck, but i wanna see what kind of gains he is getting with intake and exhaust mods. Oh and BTW did u dyno it after u did exhaust or no? Or did u dyno it when it had exhaust only, and using that as a baseline?

ive had the volant for a couple of weeks. my driving hasn't been my norm so i couldn't get a decent mi. indication for the first coupla tanks but i am proud to announce that i did get 13.48 on the last one. up from 12.5 avg. just installed magnaflow today.gave me back my low and mid. not too loud. just perfect. lets hope for another 1 to 2 mpg and i'll be ecstatic.

I did not dyno my truck with only the exhaust. Figured I would wait until I got the exhaust which is, hopefully, gonna result in higher hp gains....

Is it supposed to be this loud?

I just got the intake and the ram air scoop this afternoon. The install went pretty smoothly (about 2 hours) but instructions, such as they are, sucked. They amounted to just a diagram of the pieces in the kit. You'll have to be a little visually creative when installing. But the additional ponies are there and you definitely feel the power.

My only concern is how loud it is. When I accelerate it gets d@mn loud and now I have a slight vibration in the foot pedal. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced the above?

Thanks

Sean...how loud is 'damn loud'? The FIPK on my '97 was louder than the dual rear exit Magnaflow system, but the Magnaflow mufflers are known to be relatively quiet. All aftermarket intakes have some induction roar, but maybe the Volants are excessive.

Maybe Volant just isn't my taste . . .

I was trying to put the intake thru its paces and its roar caught me off guard. I have a Gibson catback exhaust and the Volant can be louder than it. Admittedly I have a heavy right foot so I do a significant amount of "hard accelerating" to pass vehicles. Pulling off from a stop light I didn't notice much of a change in loudness. It is only when trying to get up to speed to merge with highway traffic and accelerating to overtake someone that the roar is noticable vs. stock.

This is my first intake system. I had no I idea what to expect. I won't say that Volant is excessively loud because I do like the roar. But this is a family hauler and between the exhaust and the Volant, there's a lot going on in terms of cabin noise. I like the extra ponies but I can't have it both ways. I'd like to get thru a tank of gas before I make up my mind if it's a keeper.

Talking

the volant does roar when you put your foot in it. so much so that i cant really hear the magnaflow. which is good. i dont want 2 things making so much noise. but, the intake only makes it when you step on it and doesnt drone at 2500 rpm/80mph on the freeway. same for the magnaflow. still quiet in the cab yet you can really feel it pull when you stomp. highly recommened!

Can you hear the roar over the radio/stereo but not annoying? Is it like the old days when you kicked in a 4 barrel carb....
