Goodness, sorry guys, I forgot about this post.

Yes! The whistling has most definately stopped. The foam has held up without any problems to a 500-mile trip up to 85mph, rain, wind, etc. this past weekend. All seems well.

You think if you used 1/2 inch foam it would work as well and keep you from seeing it at all? Not sure how tight of a fit it was.

I just went to Lowes and got some 1/2" foam like that. They didn't have 5/8" in stock. It fits well, but I doubled it up on the two sides because the space was deeper. I'll let you know if it stops the whistle. I'll be listening on my way home from work (I already stuffed it in there).

Yeah I would recommend the 5/8" if you can find it just because in some areas it is tighter than others. Around the top and bottom the 1/2" would be perfect, but around the ends of the fog light there is a larger gap that the 5/8" squeezed into much easier.

lariatf150, let us know how the doubling up of the 1/2" works out. I'm trying envision how this would work to keep it from coming out. It may fill the gap better to stop the noise, but I'm not sure how doubling up will keep one of the pieces from working its way out.

I tried it and put in 1/2 x 5/8 inch foam in aroung the lights and still have it. Sounds like it is comming from around the drivers window or something close......................................?:confu sed:

Some guys talked about whistling noises coming from the base of the windshield. I think it turned out to be a bad seal there.

Could it be that?

When I first talked to a dealer about this, they said they had a customer that had a problem with the plastic cowl at the base of the windshield not being secured properly and it was making noise. Maybe that's your problem? Mine was definitely the fog lights though.

Not for sure, I am having a hard time determining where it is comming from. Only hear it at highway speeds. Does the dealer have another way to try and figure out where it is comming from and will thry try to find it for me?
