Roush Lowering Kits

Hey,

New guy here. I used to own a 98 Supercab 5.4 .

I just bought a new 04 4x2 Lariat Supercrew.

Anybody try a Roush suspension kit and can we buy them? Roush suspension features new Front and Rear Shocks, Front Coil Springs, Rear Leaf Springs and a Front Sway bar. 2-3 drop

Got this from the Roush site.

The well-know Roush handling capabilities are featured in the Stage 1 with a performance suspension and BFGoodrich performance tires. This performance suspension lowers the truck 2-inches in the front and 3-inches in the rear.

I plan on getting 20's for it soon. What rims do you guys like, please post pics? What size tires should I get 50 or 55 series? How wide of rims and tires can we use?

tks

first off get 45 series tires or 50, but nothing bigger. and then im scared to ask how much that Roush kit costs. i just bought me 2/4.5 kit from McGaughy's for $400 and it brings the springs, flip, shackles and shocks.

yeah, I know Roush is proud. Wait until you see what they charge for their Stage 1 and Stage 2 04 F-150 kits, not myuch bang for the buck with what they charge for the kits.

What kind of shocks did you get with the McCaughy's kit? Was it easy to install? I would like to be able to tow with my truck once in a while, Would the 4.5" rear drop be to low for the towing a car trailer or boat?

I just got an e-mail back from Roush saying they are available but no price.

"Part number is R06000005. I think Pulliam Motors in Columbia, SC and Gwinnett Place in Duluth are your closest dealers. If they don't have a kit in stock (it's very new, so they probably don't) let them know that they can have it drop-shipped to you straight from our factory, if they don't know that. Hope this helps.

Thanks,"

with the kit i bought you only need to add some shock extenders to the rear shocks other than that nothing more is necessary. im trying to find out of Bilstein has an application out that i can replkace all 4 corners with. for towing a boat or car i would recommend the air lift system out back where you add an airbag that is manually inflated whenever you tow. i might add this in the future also.
