Question Gibson Exhaust

I havent been on the forum for awhile, so if this has already been discussed, please forgive and lead me to the thread.

Ive been looking around for exhaust systems and have found Gibson to be the best looking deal so far. Its about the right price and can be done pretty easily...so they say. What Im looking for is a system that isnt very loud, but has that nice deep troaty sound to it. If anyone has any suggestions comments or experiences from Gibson, your input would be helpfull. Thanks, RV

My brother has a gibson, single exhaust on his Super Duty, and it is not too loud. It's def louder than stock, and has a nice rumble when you step on it. It is not overly loud at idle, or cruising speeds, but sounds bada$$ when you step on it! I really like the tone, but not sure if it will be the same way on the F-150, but should be similar.

I had a gibson supertruck on 2001 Supercrew that exists in front of the passenger tire. It was extremely easy to install myself. I liked it so much that I had a Speedy Muffler retrofit it to my 2004 Supercrew. It sounds even better now. Great sound when accelerating but just barely louder than stock at idle. I like it a lot, especially the square cut tips. Hopes this helps.

I have the Gibson on my truck, and to be honest, the only real difference is the chrome tip. I did not notice any power or milage gains, and as far as sound it is just a little bit louder than the stock. Put it this way, it was on my truck for 2 months before my wife even knew it was there. As far as install it could not be any easier, just a little WD-40 on the hangers and the whole thing pops right out and the new one goes in, we are talking about 20min start to finish.

Flowmaster experience

I have the Flowmaster 50 series SUV, and it is deep, mellow, and throaty, but not to load. Everybody who has heard it loves it.

The whole kit was about $500 installed at local shop. Included SIDO, Muffler, Chrome tips, and install.
