Window Switch Light Bulb ???
Window Switch Light Bulb ???
My electric window light switch is out. It's the one that illuminates the rocker button arrow. Each switch has a small light or diode in it. Does anyone know how to fix or replace this? Does the whole switch have to come out? Nothing is listed in the owners manual on this subject. Thankyou in advance to anyone who has the answer!!!
I had that happen on our Explorer. Luckily it was in warranty like your truck. I took it in and had them replace it. It doesn't seem to be one of those things that Ford made for the consumer to replace.
Thanks, it's the light on the drivers side window rocker, indicating the arrow for lowering the window. All other indicator lights work fine. It's really only noticeable while driving at night.
Unfortunately, the light bulb within the switch is not a replaceable part like the headlight bulb etc... however, being that it's a 2004 and I assume you're under 36k miles, you're still covered under warranty.
Take it back to them and ask them to simply order it and install it when you can bring it back. It should take all of about 15 minutes (if that long) to do the install.
G'luck!
