Go to MSN autos and input all of the options that this truck has. If you are within $200 of what it lists as invoice price, it's a good deal.

Q

might wanna check out www.edmunds.com

it will give you a invoice, dealership and a True market value pricing of your truck with some of those features available.

compare it and see what you can find out....

you can also check with carmax, http://www.car.com or http://www.autoweb.com are just a few of the sites...

~Q

example:

for a F150 STX 2004 4x2 styleside

Invoice Target MSRP
Base $19,383 $19,583 $22,015
Destination $795 $795 $795
Average Sales Tax Fees $1,198 $1,198 $1,198
Dealer Advertising Fee $200 $200 $200
Total $21,576 $21,776 $24,208
Monthly Payment $371 $374 $416

with just the basic options, now since i got it used (5400 miles on it) it already came with the following mods, running board black, tounau cover (tounauMasters rolling leather cover), stampede bug defelector, front fog lights, towing package (tested for 11k, hidden hitch style), and vent deflectors.

so, in all i end up paying 25k after 72months payments with a 4.15% APR....so 350ish a month...with the actual car being sold at the 22k.

even thou it was used, its still a relavtively new truck. with added features that were given to compromise for the being "used" factor.

So is this a good deal? Should I wait for the '05s?

92TripleBlack,

I've heard of deals locally at $1500 UNDER invoice BEFORE any rebates are applied. The 2004's must be moved to make way for the 05's. You may be able to do quite a bit better.

The short answer is yes, that is a good price. I paid about that much on my D plan price with no sunroof.

So yes, its a good price
I just bought an 03, and I am going to wait for late 05 F150 maybe even the "new" 05 F250 good luck on whatever you decide

Good deal. Thanks guys. I've had a Grand Cherokee in the past and Jeep has a few dealers that will sell below invoice that most real Jeep guys will quote. Sounds like Ford doesn't have the equivalent so I'll stick with this. Now to convince the wife we want a truck instead of a house.
