I have done some somewhat testing on different oil filter on my race motor in my 93 mustang i have a 347 (actualy 360 now) that made 509 hp to the wheels on motor (no supercharger,no turbo, and no nitrous)and i have had to rebuild many times do to using different oil filters. I have tried Fram and lost a few motors in the process. Come to find out i wasn't getting oil to the front lifters like i should. Put a motorcraft filter on and have not lost a motor since and oil is getting everywhere it needs to be! You wouldn't think a filter makes a difference but it does!

When Bob Glidden raced for Ford Motorsports I'm guessing he used Motorcraft oil filters in his Boss 429's. IF it's good enough for Bob - it's good enough for me.

I used the MotorCraft filters on my 1997 Cobra and am now using them on my 2004 Lariat. It's actually the same filter (FL820S) and I just happened to have a few lying around

Well his motor along with his son's (Billy) run a dry sump which means no oil in the motor except when oiling and they have a remote oil filter not sure if Ford made a filter to fit it but im sure he got Ford to make one for him.

I have been using the Fram XG2 oil filter on my 5.4L 3V motor with Mobil 0-30 weight synthetic oil. The Extra Guard Fram oil filter has new technology filtration media which keeps the oil noticably cleaner between extended mileage oil changes. I'm not advertising for these people, but, I have used these filters before and I believe this filter works!
