Thumbs down Went to lunch in a Dodge today

Went out to lunch in my boss's Dodge 1500 SLT Quad cab today.

Here is my opinion:

Seemed odd not to see the hood while looking out the windsheild, didn't realize it was so "raked".
Liked the big center console.
Ride was bumpy compared to my F-150, we hit a few small dips in the road, and it felt "sloppy", sort of bounced from left to right, actually rode ALOT like my previous 01 F-150.
Dashboard is defineatly "busy", alot of stuff crammed together, maybe im just use to the nice layout of the Ford.
Seat material seemed thinner and had less support than the F-150.
Without a doubt the plastic dash material is not up to standard with the Ford either. (IMO).
I actually like the look of the Dodge (with the 20" rims), but when putting it under (for lack of a better word) a microscope, it doesn't come close to the quality that Ford built into the F-150.
Jut my humble opinion.

Did you voice your opinions to your boss? If so, was it before or after the return trip?

I agree about the ride--the Dodge had a really sloppy ride and seemed tough to control. The handling and ride of the Dodge is what knocked it out of contention.

anaheim -- tires

anaheim:

I noticed in your gallery your xlt has michelins 255... did you put these on after purchase or did your xlt come with them? Your rig looks great!

I also have a xlt.... I want to put on larger tires (Pirelli 255 75R 17), and wondering if they throw off a alignment or anything.

Thanks

Joe

Came with the Michelins, thx, bought the truck in Jan. build date 6/03, and have not had a bit of trouble with it. I don't even have the throttle lag alot of people are talking about.
I plan on putting p265's on when these wear out, thats what dodge puts on theres. I think going any bigger might alter speedo, but not sure.
