But where is the neat ink pen? For those of you that think I"ve totally flipped my lid, let me explain. My dad bought a first year production F150 back in 1997 and shortly after his purchase Ford mailed him a very nice cherry wood ink pen with "F-Series, 1997 motor trend truck of the year" engraved on it.

F-Series implies a lot of different trucks though. 150,250,350 and so on... the Silverado is a specific C/K body type. Im not sure that's a fair comparison.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to poo poo the stat, I'm just wondering how many buy 150's vs. the C/K 1500 , and Ram 1500.

Not positive but I think Chevy's numbers include 1500, 2500, and 3500 models just as the F Series includes, as mentioned, F150s, F250s, and F350s (heck, may include up the to the F750s).

The Chevrolet Impala surprises me.... must be a lot of rental agencies purchasing them. Another thing interesting, appears Nissan it not hitting sales projections for the Titan for if they had they would be on the list.

Nissan is only shooting for 100,000 this year. It's unlikely they'll ever make enough quarterly sales to get on this list.

Planoford

they include all.

They generally consider the heavier trucks to be the same vehicle with a different suspension/payload. But still considered the same truck.
