Priceless..

Hey guys. While being a short time member to this forum and a 1st time truck buyer I must say I have one beef. Placing bolt-ons on a truck in my mind is out of control. The prices on nerf bars, covers, etc.. seems ridiculous. I know there are some fabricators out here, How much can it really cost to bend some 3" tubes, weld some brackets on and place then in a chrome dip ?

At any rate this is a great forum. Many of you have a ton of knowledge.

Content F150 owner...

P.S. You guys in the Lightning forum crack me up.

I am a firm believer in that as well. A lot of those nerf companies dont make any changes to the bars, just the mounting hardware. I understand the lifts to a certain degree because of the engineering behind them. But me being an engineer, the last thing I look for is a name I rather make my buys based on materials, thickness of bars, finish treatments, etc. That being said, you know Westin and them are charging far more than they should. I have mentioned this before but check out dealsofsteel.com for stuff, they have good products (at least nerf bars) at really low prices, especially on ebay (I feel like I am always pluggin this company...last time).
