So the 04s have dual cats? I really need to crawl under this thing some more! Just out of curiosity, why isnt everyone running true duals then? Doesnt that make the most sense?

Eddy,
That is another reason why I buy Ford.
They do put 2 catalytic converters on
their V-8 trucks. I don't know about
V-6's. Anyway, It does cost more
to buy 2 mufflers, 2 complete
exhaust pipes from front to rear, and
2 tail pipes. It's a lot cheaper just to
get a cat back system that splits into
2 pipes after the single cat and single
muffler. But I think this way it
gives the truck more power and
personally, I like the way it makes it
sound. Also, as I have stated, it seems
to be doing better on gas mileage.

I'd go with flowmasters.

Kawman,
Can you post some pictures of your setup.. that sounds like something I'd rather have done.. I'd prob use magnaflow mufflers (only because I had such AWSOME luck and more experiance with them when I had a Mustang GT) Also did you use an H pipe or X pipe to join the two sides in the middle?

Thanks
Chris

Hey toolman!

Did you get a Spin tech cat back system or just the muffler??

I had 3" spin techs on my mustang with a Dr. Gas X-pipe, and the sound was excellent. I dont want that much noise on my truck, but if Spin tech offers a cat back (which I dont see on their website) I would be interested.
