Thumbs up xm commander install

Went with the ashtray location for the commander and it worked perfectly...mounted the antenna on the front passenger roof corner...tapped into the acc power to the stereo (lime green/yellow wire in the large harness plug). Got all the info I needed from research here...thanks guys.

well I've got the commander sitting here beside me. I bought it over a week ago, but haven't installed it because my trucks been in the shop for a week now However, if I ever get it back I plan on doing the install in the ashtray like everyone else.

How did you route your anntena to mount where you did?

The button with the "P" is for the reverse sensing. It turns it off if you don't want to use it (like when hooking up a trailer).

Looks great. I plan on installing the same one soon. How does it sound. People here have said that it's better than radio but not as good as a CD. Is that the case with yours?

I would agree...the modulator lacks a bit but it is the only option now...hopefully an adapter will come along soon so we can access the accessory mode on the radio.
