i imagine that the filter on the airaid intake for the 04's gets pretty dirt being up front and wide open. the pre-filters they make seem like a good idea but ive read that they take away from the intakes performance. does anyone have insite for me? where can i buy a prefilter if its something to purchase?

 

The Air Raid filter can flow about 250% more than your truck needs. The Pre Filter will only decrease the airflow slightly and will not hurt performance noticeably. If the filter were smaller, it may negatively affect the performance, but thanks to Air Raid's forward thinking and tendency to overkill, the filter is plenty big. I intend to use the pre filter, and I am associated with Air Raid, whatever that is worth.
