Audiophile Sub controls?

Does anyone know if you can adjust the output of the sub on the audiophile system? Says it is self-powered, but cant seem to see a way to adjust the output?

No separate controls for your sub
You have a separate amp with the sub under the seat, the head unit controls the output to the amp

Hey man dont sweat over the sub it is low budget! I just spoke with Don @ JL audio and they are coming out with the stealth box by the end of next month. It is worth the wait because all of the enclosures I have seen such as subbox.net and others are very very limited with cubic in. I gaurantee the JL will rock anything for under that seat!

Subs

I fit two 10w0 under my seat with the music moose box. They say that there is 5.75 of clearance for the subs but i think its a lie. i had to flip the rubber rings that go around the rim of the sub so that the fatter part was toward the box. That gave me a little more clearance, but less on the outside. Over all it sounds really good, i just always think about the little things that could make it sound better.

I went and priced out a new 10" sub and a 500w amp. I am kind of a bass snob as I own a REL downfiring sub for my home system. I hate muddy distorted bass and that's what I hear with the stock sub. I don't see anything wrong with the enclosure that came with the audiophile system. I just think the paper cone and cheap overall quality is the problem.

I am hoping that adding more and cleaner power will quicken bass response. I am not planning to touch the head.

I'll let you know what I find.

Thanks
Tim
