Titan Sales "Disappointing." Inventories of Unsold Titans rising

I like the Titan. It kills the Ford on performance (I switched from a Chevy, my new F150 is slooow even after the PCM reflash). Titans are ugly, but so are the F150s supercrews when viewed from the side. I bought the Ford because I didn't want to be stuck with premium fuel--my wife's WRX is killing us on fuel costs!

Chevy: My last 3 trucks were Chevys. 91 S-10. Great truck, my dad drives it as a beater farm truck now, 200k miles. The only repair ever was a new paint job when the paint flaked off. This truck was the reason I bought my next 2 Chevys.
'95 small Blazer. POS and lemon lawed.
'96 Tahoe. A continuing maintenance nightmare from 90-130k. Sold it to buy my F150.
The current Chevys are at least 5 years out of date, and no crew cab was available when I bought my Ford.
The new Dodges haul ***, but they drive, well, twitchy, like the front end is somehow detached from the road.
The Tundra double cabs are nice, but they can't tow much.

Hey, don't get me wrong, in hindsight I bought exactly the truck I need, I love my Screw. It rides great, is super quiet, is extremely comfortable, and has all the utility I need.

OK
Maybe this is a little off topic.
Each person will have their own opinion on what vechicle is the "best". But, honestly, it is what that individuals wants and needs are. I didnt get a scab or screw, because I dont need the space. I am the only person in my truck. I didnt get a V8, I drive round trip, close to 100 miles aday back and forth to work. I got what I needed.
I didn't buy a Toyota because, in my opinion, their ugly as sin, but the next person might think, "wow, what a pretty truck. Not to mention the parts are expensive as hell.
Nissans to me, are over rated. Those neat commercials with the cool music is what is keeping them on the road. I didnt get one of those, because I want to get what I pay for. I get that in a Ford.
Chevy's.....I like the older Chevy trucks. The 04's to me are ugly, and was about $5,000.00 more then my 04' STX Heritage.
These are my opinions of course.

and your SCREW is extremely sharp. I dont know what "old school" you're from, but SCREWS are all the rage, and it's not because they're ugly. If there is any crewcab pickups out there that are ugly, it's the boring camrylike Tundra and your beloved absurd looking Titan.

Right on Kingfish. I hate when some butthead says, "well my ricemobile was built here and employed American workers" BS! It was only assembled here and if you all bought American it would still employ Americans. American car makers did not go with foreign labor until they had to compete with foreign auto makers labor costs. It's funny that I've never met an American that doesn't think they deserve to get paid top dollar for what they do, but so few are willing to pay someone else for quality work. If your Jap car is so great, why aren't there any 20 year old Jap cars on the road? I see old Fords and GM's (even a few Mopars)on the road every day, in New England where winter road treatment eats cars.

My truck was assembled in Canada. Does that make it a Canadian vechicle...
I suspect within the next 10 years or so we'll see more old Toyota and Nissan trucks, just as we've been seeing old Fords, Chevys, and Dodges for what seems like forever.
If you really want to show off the "Made in America" quality issue then forget using cars and trucks. Go to a nearby farmer and look in his/her tractor barn. Chances are you'll see working tractors built back in the 40's and 50's. Still running, still working. 200k miles is great for a truck. 40 years of some serious year-round farm work is normal and expected for a tractor.
Those would be Ford tractors, as well as Case, IH, John Deere, etc.....
Just my 2 cents worth.

Just hard to call my truck...."Canadian"

So if that makes my vechicle Canadian, then all the rice burners assembled over here are American?
hmm, odd.
