Bed Extender


I am thinking of getting one.

Has anyone installed one, and are they a pain to install?

I got one with my truck, as a factory option, I like the design a lot, for someone like me with a supercrew who will be taking home plywood and MDF a lot it will work out great, plus the dirtbike fit's now where as with the 5.5 bed ut never would have had a chance.

 

Yeah, I gotta get me one.

 

I bought mine on Ebay about a week after I bought the truck (which I bought my truck sept 20th) and it is a factory take off... didn't have any of the hardware (picked up for 30-50 bucks at handy dandy ford lot) and got the extender for 85 shipped I think

Since I have tonneau cover the extender is worth its weight in gold.. I'm only 5'9" tall and it is hard to reach over the *** end of the fx4 tailgate and then with the tonneau hard to get things up close to cab so this keeps crap from slidding...

I had to tap the holes on the side though to thread the hex bolts in.. but I have the 5.5 bed so mine had the grommets to tap.. the other beds don't have them
