My brother just got one. I am very imperessed feels just like my 01 Lightning did. As a matter of fact we were messing around the other day and he actually beat me from a stop to about 60mph and I was driving my 03 Cobra with 440rwhp.

I have not at any point in this thread mentioned the 5.4.

Let me clarify I said:

I test drove the truck and found it sluggish at low RPM.

If some people test drive this truck and push the rpm up high, yes there is a ton of power. My point was that in some stop and go closer to 1000 or 1500 rpm, the truck didn't have a lot.

If I chose to test drive the ever livin' $h!t out of this truck, as many do, yes, I would probably jump on the "power to spare" bandwagon.

by simply posting a review of your negative (of course) experience of driving a Titan you are indirectly comparing the Titan to the F150

no kidding... it's an F150 website.

Just thought I'd mention that in case you hadn't noticed.

Yes my opinion. I thought I was fair. I described it as I saw it. I didn't slam it because it wasn't a Ford. I didn't think it had the power that people claim. I thought the interior was car-like. Overall, it's not a bad truck. This I did say. I just don't think it's the cat's a$$ that the journalists claim.

Wanna hear negative?

Think the Ram is great. Powerful truck! Huge interior.
Chevy has a great interior. Well laid out. Comfortable ride.

That isn't to say they don't have problems... all models do.

I am going to start this out by saying I bought a 2004 FX4 SCAB but from a performance perspective, you guys certainly drove different Titans than I did. I drove 3 Titans - XE 2WD, LE 4WD, and SE Crew Cab 4WD. All were considerably faster at any RPM than my FX4 is, and I really don't even think it is even close. To me the Titan was almost too fast as it was way too easy to throw the rear end out under acceleration.

I do agree that the interior of the Titan is crap. There are also problems like undersized axles and brakes.

This further reinforces my point. If you were losing the rear end, you were obviously giving it enough RPM to do so.

Try driving it at 1500 rpm and then tell me if it pulls well.

My 98 will give a little snap of the neck by dropping it to 1500 rpm from a stop. Every truck I have driven does this. V6 or V8

Neither the '04 F150 nor the Titan did this for me.

And you admitted that? Geesh. Methinks you need shifting lessons. A Titan is no match for a stock L or stock Cobra.
