Black is the way to go. It starts off looking great and stays that way. If you don't live in a place that gets extremely hot in the summer, I'd go with the black leather. When I lived in AZ, black interiors were borderline suicidal unless you wanted a little 'sizzle' in your life

We got the black with the Black Lariat exterior. It looks fantastic. Everone that sees it thinks it's a great choice. I think in the long run the black will be the better choice.

I think the decision about the interior color should be based mainly on your lifestyle and how well you take care of your personal property. If you want to haul around a bunch of dogs and crayon equipped children, then black might be what you need.

I have a 85 pound light colored golden retriever that rides in the back seat occasionally (after picking him up from doggie day care - wife drops him off). I fold the rear seat up and drape a king size sheet over the seat and on the floor. It works out really well like this. He normally just lays down and takes a nap until we get home - so no mess.

I have no kids yet and when we do, we'll only have one (unless we end up with twins or somthing). So that will be easy to deal with.

I like to keep my stuff clean and well taken care of. I know some people (freinds of mine) that buy new cars, trash them and then bit** about how crappy their car looks. Well, it's their own fault for not taking care of it. There may be times where you can't avoid a stain or mess, but for me, the tan is wonderful and I plan on keeping it that way. I love the color...it looks VERY classy. Most people that look at my interior says "wow!"...like my insurance agent did. She commented that it looked more like a caddy in there I'm at a point in my life where I like to be comfortable. If I wanted to go muddin' and so on, I would have bought a XL 4x4 with rubber floors.

Black inside and out Rules! My FX4 looks buff on the outside and classy on the inside. I condition my seats every weeks when I wash the truck. I use Lexol leather shampoo and conditioner. It leaves them looking like a million bucks.
