Where 2 buy Wheel locks/locking gas cap?

Just got my truck and noticed it didn't come with wheel locks or a locking gas cap. Not upset or anying, just need to know if anyone here has purchased some and remembers what they cost.

I'm assuming I can stop by the Parts Dept tomorrow but if I can get the same quality somewhere else for a little less I would. I remember purchasing 1 qt of oil from them for $4 and saw it at walmart for 1.40.

Thanks, Jerry

Call Summit Racing for the wheel locks. 1-800-230-3030. It's Summit Racing catalog part number MCG-24024. Or McGard P.N. 24024. They were $19.95 plus shipping.

I've had really good luck with fordpartsnetwork.com as well. Here's the email: torrie@fordpartsnetwork.com .... my locking gas cap came from there... Very nice item!

Rock pick, thanks for the thank you.

Lariat FX4, what part of Turkey were you in. 558 signal have anything to do with it. We have some guys here working with us from the 146th Signal out of Jacksonville. I was TDY for Nothern Watch from Nov 01 - May 02. Tell you what, every time I get deployed and see another country I'm even more grateful to be an American.

For all the Canuck's, no disrespect to your country. Recently had the privledge of working with the Princess Patricia's Light Infantry over in the sandbox, even swapped for some Crimson and yellow PT gear.

I can't remember the name of the base, but it was a permanent Army post we had/have there. I was there for Operation Display Determination...an annaul training exercise with several other countries. I was in the 123rd Signal BN (3rd ID) at the time (based in Wurzburg, Germany) - was in Germany for 3 years. Me and a German friend went to Berlin not long after the wall came down and I chipped a piece off for myself. It was pretty cool and a great time to be there (1989 - 1992)

Oh, and 558 Signal was my last unit (a reserve unit in OH)

That's probably one of the biggest untold benefits of being in the military, actually being able to participate in history. I know I'm sounding like a recruiter, but I just got back from spending 8.5 months in Iraq and can't wait to see it 10/20 years from now. Nice talking to you.

RockPick I spoke with the owner at fordpartsnetwork about getting a locking gas cap for my 04 F-150 and here is what he said -

It doesn’t appear Ford offers one.

Take care,

Mr. Torrie R. McPhail -- (Owner)
http://www.fordpartsnetwork.com

WTF! RockPick, Do you have a part number on that gas cap? You'd figure if you talk to this guy about one he'd know, or did you even talk to him. Next time I'll ask for the cleaning lady! Maybe she might know something about the products they sell instead of the owner....!

There's no need to go knocking Torrie McPhail, now. He's been very helpful for a number of members here in the past. It may very well be that there isn't a Ford part out for this. Rockpick didn't say for sure that fordpartsnetwork.com would have the locking gas cap, just that it was worth checking there. RockPick has a (very well cared for) 2001 SuperCrew King Ranch, so when he mentioned getting one for his truck from FPN, he didn't mean that it was for a 2004...
I'm sure if anyone reading this thread has seen a Ford locking gas cap for the 2004, they'll chime in.

Good luck,
John
