YellowFX4SCrew what about going to another dealership and asking them about the pcm flash since the one you're going to sounds like they are blowin smoke.

Your dealership is full of crap then!! I just got my truck back yesterday from having the PCM reflashed to fix the wrench light and CEL (check engine light) coming on and the engine running rough. So far it's running great, and I seem to have less throttle lag now, too.

BME6

I didn't realize it had been on the lot that long or I wouldn't have bought it (bought it 3 weeks ago).

Build date - March 10, 2004. SCD2 for mine. This appears on the left too, but that pic was blurry, so I posted this one. I checked to make sure this number appearded on the left where you other guys showed yours. 5.4L for me and no trouble at all with just under 2,000 miles.

lariatf150,

Thanks. It's interesting that it also looks like the Part Numbers are different, depending on the code.

Tuff Ford and I both have BME9:
Motorola Model: 6EXJ283A35
Ford P/N: 4L3A-12A650-ABK

lariatf150 has SCD2 with:
Motorola Model: 6EXK283A41
Ford P/N: 4L3A-12A650-ASC
