My insurance that is ~$500 a year is through Integrity Mutual. My agent said it is a prefered national lender.

OMC,

$600 gets me a $250 deductible on collision and $0 deductible on comprehensive, $50,000 on liability. This is thru Nationwide in VA. I'm 42 with a perfect record, plus I get a discount because there are two other vehicles on the policy (not figured into the $600).

Insurance in Mexico

Hi in Mexico my Scab FX4 pays US$1600 / year with Ford Insurance. Another companies are in the US$1,000-US$1200

I was forced to stay in Ford Insurance as long the truck is not paied.

Can you Use your preferred Isurance company while your truck is leased or on credit?

Nick_FX4, along with the Geico's of the vehicle insurance world, you should call my agent. She's really good ... and quite a few of my friends have gone with her in the past few years because her pricing was so good. My family started with her dad over 30 years ago, and she took over the business. Her info is as follows:

Paige Ott
Farmers Insurance Group
443-5104

It's free to call!

As for myself, I don't know what my insurance rate is yet. I haven't gotten my first "truck only" bill yet. For a little while after getting my truck, I had my car on the policy as well. Otherwise, I'd let you know what I'm paying.

HOOK'EM!!!

I start my jon with BP this August, and they told me that when I buy my new truck, I don't have to get full coverage insurance on it. I'm going to get a loan from BP Amoco Federal Credit Union. So I think I'll just see how my rates will look like with full coverage and liability and then decide. I've known lots of new engineers at the refinery to buy a new car or truck through the credit union and not have full coverage insurance. Only drawback though, is what if I or anyone was to get into an accident and the other person doesn't have insurance. Then I'm screwed.
