Scab with 5 1/2 foot box...

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for pictures of the new '04 Scab with 5 1/2 foot box. Every dealer in the greater Denver area claims they are out there, and most if not all are special orders. Coming in at just over 18 feet in length this would be perfect for my garage.

If any member has a picture please post or direct me to the link...I am really looking into this combination.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Hi SVTErick

Please fill me in on what you searched to get the ton of results. For some reason if I do a search for an '04 Scab with 5.5 box, it gives me no results

Here is some news for you FOLKS looking for those SCABS w/ 5.5 beds...

I have had one on order sense 12/4/03.....

FX4
BLK/DSG
133 inch wheelbase
Audiophile
Chrome bars
moon roof
Blk leather with console
Mirror Package
Tow Package
Rev sense
Bed Extender
737 Rear-end
Power back Glass
Adjust Pedals
18's

From my neck of the woods it is a VERY VERY rare wheelbase!
Dealer searches turn up nothing in the southwest region... So I had to special order it.
From what I am told only 6% of the F-150's built in 2004 will be a 133 inch wheelbase that is not many!

I understand that this will be a rare truck to find or see this early in the game. And if you plan to order it, plan to wait.... Ford has a limited supply of 133 chases according to the dealer.

Mine will be here by the end of March... 4 long months and it is priority code of 10 AKA the highest.

I have yet to see or find a picture of this model, but you better believe I'll have a picture posting when it shows up!

I ordered one 3/6. I was told that there would be a delay because ford would not be building on that chassis until the middle of this month, also told to expect a vin by the first week of April.
I do know what you mean by rare!! I know it will look real good. I have been a reg cab flairside type of truck guy...We had a 55 and a 58 pickup on the farm I greww up on and in my mind that style is cool! I had to get a super cab to get the toys but hope the 5.5 bed will look the way I like a pick up should look.
To bad about the long wait for you, but it will be worth it.

I have a Lariet Scab w/5.5 bed in Aspen Green/Arizona Beige. I have yet to see another 04 w/5.5 bed anywhere. I ordered mine 10-20-03; built 11-18-03; delivered 12-08-03.
It has almost all bells and whistles that can be had. Best money I ever did'nt have to spend!

ford2004F150 - I was told the same thing. I was told the min order time on this 133" wheelbase would be 8 to 12 weeks... min.

One of the local dealers has a True Blue / Grey FX4 s/c with the 5.5 foot box. Looks cool. Has the bed extender installed already. I think I would buy it if they still had it about two months but I doubt that will happen.

It is a long wait, but these 133 trucks are going to be something to see.
It is a must for me to have that shorter wheelbase due to a small two car garage at home... also I have to get around in a tight parking garage at work.
For me I don't use the bed of my truck every day..... so I love the idea of the short bed. Also a lighter/shorter truck = better gas mileage.

Someone out there has gotta have some pictures of this model, POST EM! We are all jones'n to see this model!

I should have mine posted by April 1.....

Sombody on this board has a T-Red / AZ Beige Lariat Screw with 5.5 bed. He will probably come along and post a link to his pics sooner or later. italman1285's silver over grey FX4 is slick as well.
