SCREWBUILDER, this is for you.

I know of a fix!
Open the tailgate like you said. Stand close to the tailgate near the left bedside panel (some of you may need to stand closer with others). Pull out your pecker and lay it right near the hinge of the tailgate. Get someone to slam the tailgate 5 times in rapid succession. It may not fix the vibration problem, but it will DAMN sure take your mind off of it.

LOL!
Actually I have owned 20 or so pickups and the beds seemed to move independly from the cab when going over sharp bumps. Granted I never seemed to feel them shaking but you could see it plain as day.

You know, I'm getting tired of people venting their frustrations at you. You, and y'all, just keep on doing what you do - building ONE FINE TRUCK! How many tens of thousands of us drive a perfect 04 truck like y'all make, and yet a microscopic few who have problems get all the air time?? Sorry for the few - their comments are appreciated, as well as their frustration, and I empathise.
Problems get fixed. Haven't seen a post yet that said Ford told their buyer to get screwed. Your participation on this forum provides insight very valuable to all of us; you're not expected to defend the pecentages. [that's Bill Ford's job!]
Kuddos to the lineworkers, supervisors, managers and executives who built my Screw! (And if you talk to Mr. Ford, pass it along!)
I would post a thread polling buyers satisfaction - but I figure RockPick would kill it ... by, gosh I think I will!!!
PS: If your can find out, and post, how many 04's have been sold, it might give some perspective to all the negative posts so far.
