Billet Gas Door - pics.

Here is an easy cool looking mod I just did tonight. I got it on ebay. I like it!

"These are made from 100% 6061 T-6 Aircraft Quality Aluminum."

LOL!

Rocky, it was a little pricey, US $49.99 + $8.00 shipping.
He took two weeks and 1 day to get it to me, but I was in no hurry.

This is the seller I got it from, I am sure there are more out there:

How was it to install? I remember a post not too long ago and seems the one that person got was a nightmare to install and they ended up damaging it while installing. Let me know.

chemgod,

It was pretty easy to do, and it came with instructions.
basically you just pry the stock door with a screwdriver and pull
it off. Then snap the clip on and srew it to the billet door.

Here is a pic of the inside:

Hey, wait a second.....

The eBay site that is posted above says the door is "Spring Loaded", but your pic of the inside of the door shows a finger type pull, yet the outside is completely smooth, what gives....????

In fact the pic above does not look like the pic below, from the eBay site:

He sells diffents types of doors. That one has a spring loaded
door, and it costs a lot more -$88.00

The one I bought is the cheaper on piece door, for $49.99.

I think I called this guy, and the spring loaded one also requires you to put screws in your truck. Don't mess up because it's a permanent installation.
