Fake Lariat Wood Trim....

Has anyone considered changing the feaux wood trim in their Lariat to the FX4 trim pieces? I'm not sure they will interchange, but if they do......

The center dash peice will not swap between a Lariat and FX4 due to the auto climate controls of the lariat. You can swap the door peices for the FX4 pieces though. This topic has came up several times in the forum, do a search for it. Some guys found a company that was supposed to be making a carbon fiber piece to fit the lariat. Good luck!

There are some nice aluminum looking pieces on trucks at the SEMA show...

Granted... these are custom trucks but I'm sure someone will start offering them in the aftermarket world.

Appreciate the feeback! I should have clarified the tan interior looks great with the trim, but I'm ordering black interior. Those aluminum pieces would look awesome.

This place has all types of dash kits for our trucks. Another link is www.wooddashfactory.com they are expensive though.

the prohibiting factor so far has been cost. even the carbon fiber ones and faux carbon fiber (aka cheap *** plastic) are really expensive.

I can speak from experience here...I just took delivery of a True Blue FX4 with black leather interior/alluminum trim and of all the interiors I have seen, this one just absolutely, positively rocks! It would definitely not have the same look/feel with the simulated wood trim.
